About the artist: Born in 1905 in Guelph, Ontario; died in 1972 in Guelph, Ontario. Painted a series of Ontario landscapes for the Ontario Northern Railway and a series of 18 Canadian cities for Seagram. Work hung in the Ontario Parliament Buildings, University of Toronto and in other private and public collections throughout Canada. Became an associate of the Royal Canadian Academy of Art in 1947.
